Body of the Week: Alexandra Victoria

Part of my criteria when I pick someone to be Body of the Week is that they’re an example of what happens when you go after your dreams with everything you’ve got. Few people embody this as spectacularly as Alexandra Victoria who is as goal oriented as she is gorgeous! She proves again and again that there are no limited to what you can achieve with hard work and focus.

Alexandra graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a dual bachelor degree in Business Management and Hospitality Management. Last year alone, she walked fashion runways around the world, was featured in Maxim Magazine and even debuted the CHAOS Watch for Rougois the first from her signature collection. All of this and she’s only 22 years old!

Look out for more of Alexandra’s designs in 2013 and keep an eye out for her in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She’s dreamed of being a Victoria’s Secret Angel since she was a child and she did her first event for them in December – this is going to be her year!

Q: When and why did you start exercising?

 A: I have always been active. Growing up I tried almost every activity from soccer to cheerleading. As a little girl, I was a tomboy but I would always dress super girly to compensate. As I have gotten older and modeling has become my primary focus, I have incorporated different workouts to keep my body where I want it to be. I am a naturally thin woman so my biggest goal is to keep my body tone. 
 
 For the past few years I have been switching it up between swimming, kickboxing, and yoga. More recently I have incorporated weight training. I constantly change it to keep myself interested, excited and ready for my next workout! 

Q: Where do you train and with whom?
 
A: I train anywhere I possibly can. Whether it be swimming or yoga, which I do at home or kickboxing and machine/weights which I go to the gym for. I train by myself for the most part, occasionally with a good friend.
 
Q: What is your favorite gym?
 
A: I now go to a private gym. I have enjoyed that better because there are less distractions and I am able to focus and enjoy my workout.
 
Q: What is your favorite health food?
 
A: I grew up as a vegetarian so I have always been a very healthy eater. I love vegtables and greens! It was never difficult to push brocolli on me, I loved it. Now, I would say that I am extremely fond of chick peas and avocado. I put the 2 together with some crushed almonds and a little balsamic and eat them for a quick salad all the time.
Q: What is your favorite cheat meal?
 
A: Everything..I don’t discrimante on food. BUT don’t threaten me with a chocolate milkshake and large fry from McDonalds!
